Summary
When a new menu is being implemented, it is often advisable to place the MIM Menu into Quarantine to ensure that new changes are not released or published to your online ordering platforms before the effective date of the new menu.
The Product Overview article for Menu Information Manager is here
How does it work?
When MIM is placed in quarantine, access to the database tables containing the MIM menu is locked, any changes made to MIM components will not be pushed to these tables until the quarantine is released. This means the menu displayed on web, app and kiosk will remain unchanged.
During the quarantine, it will not be possible to:
- publish a menu
- sync the menu to aggregators.
Enabling Quarantine
To enable the MIM quarantine you will need to reach out to your Redcat contact. The configuration settings to enable quarantine is located in an area of Polygon Central that is not usually exposed to Admin users.
The setting is located:
Configuration | Menu Management
Your Redcat contact will also be able to release the quarantine when you are ready to deploy your new menu.
