Summary

Redcat has developed a direct integration between our POS platform and Hungry Panda, a global online Asian food delivery platform founded in 2017.  Operating in over 10 countries and 90+ cities, Hungry Panda connects users with restaurants and Asian supermarkets, offering a variety of authentic dishes, groceries, and snacks through its app.
This integration was built to streamline operations for merchants by eliminating the need to manage orders through the Hungry Panda for Restaurant app and manually rekey the orders into the POS system.
The integration reduces keying errors, improves order speed, and supports growing demand for delivery while improving in-store efficiency, ultimately creating a better experience for both staff and customers.

What is the Hungry Panda Integration?

This integration allows Redcat customers in Australia, New Zealand and the UK to accept orders placed via Hungry Panda directly into their POS and kitchen management systems.

Orders from Hungry Panda are automatically injected into the Redcat POS in real-time, triggering kitchen printing and updating inventory and sales reporting without staff intervention.

This reduces wait times, improves order accuracy, and creates a seamless omnichannel experience.

Merchants can now manage third-party delivery orders alongside in-store and online orders — all in one system.

Who are Hungry Panda?

Hungry Panda markets as the No. 1 Asian Food Delivery Platform.  Leveraging industry-leading delivery services, they seamlessly connect food, people and culture.

Key Features of this Integration

The key features of the Hungry Panda Integration include:

  • Real-time injection of Hungry Panda orders into the Redcat POS
  • Automatic printing to kitchen systems (KMS)
  • Order status updates are sent back to Hungry Panda
  • Centralised reporting across all sales channels
  • Reduced staff workload by removing the need for manual entry
Redcat has developed this integration to address the operational inefficiencies caused by third-party systems that require staff to input orders manually, and help businesses grow their online revenue without compromising efficiency.
The integration:
  • Eliminates double-handling
  • Reduces order errors
  • Improves speed of service

In addition, the Hungry Panda Integration will allow restaurants to:

  • Manage Hungry Panda orders like any other POS transaction
  • Track Hungry Panda sales alongside other channels in unified reports
  • Keep kitchens efficient with auto-routing of delivery orders
  • Manage the Hungry Panda menu within Polygon Central to ensure parity between systems.  MIM menu information is synced to Hungry Panda on a location-specific basis.

Why should you use this functionality?

Using this integration means less time spent handling third-party orders and more time focusing on delivering great food.  With fewer errors and faster turnaround, it improves the customer experience while reducing the pressure on staff.

It also centralises data, giving better visibility over your business performance and resolving the following pain points:

  • Manual rekeying errors
  • Operational delays
  • Inaccurate reporting
  • Menu inconsistencies

Use Cases

The Hungry Panda Integration applies to the following use cases:
  • Accepting delivery orders from Hungry Panda directly into the POS and kitchen
  • Managing third-party delivery alongside in-store and web orders
  • Syncing menu items and modifiers between POS and Hungry Panda
  • Sending status updates from POS to Hungry Panda customers
  • Centralising performance reporting across channels
Note: This integration is not designed to support:
  • Rider coordination or dispatch tracking
  • Two-way live menu syncing (menu mapping is applied and synced within Polygon Central)
