Adyen: Payment Account Reference (PAR)
Summary
Payment Account Reference (PAR) is an Adyen feature that is an identifier behind the card that represents the payment account that the card is linked to. Collecting this data can allow for deeper insights into customer behaviour.

Use Cases
Redcat has tapped into this feature by passing through the PAR values from Adyen and attaching them to corresponding sales made both at the POS terminals and through online channels.
The feature is suitable for:
- any business wanting to record the PAR against Adyen payments for data analysis.
Prerequisites
To take advantage of this functionality you need:
-
PolygonPOS version 2406.12.1 or later (this is not available for Adyen payments on LegacyPOS).
-
Polygon Central deployed after 30 May 2024.
-
Polygon POS Management version 2406.4.1 or later
How do I turn it on?
While the versions listed above are capable of recording the Adyen PAR, this is dependant upon Adyen passing the PAR for each payment.
This is an Adyen feature that Redcat is facilitating and you will need to speak to your Adyen contact to have PAR enabled across your Adyen systems.
